Why Additive Manufacturing for Tooling

Machined aluminum jigs and fixtures take days to weeks to produce and cost hundreds to thousands of dollars each. Additive manufacturing produces the same functional result in hours at a fraction of the cost. For short-run production, pilot runs, or workflows that require frequent tooling updates, additive manufacturing changes the economics of custom tooling entirely.

Axiom Works uses engineering-grade polymers including PEEK, ULTEM, PPS, and carbon fiber composites for tooling applications that demand thermal stability, chemical resistance, and dimensional accuracy. These are not consumer-grade printed parts. They are production tooling built on industrial equipment.
